The examination is approved exclusively for a specialist\u00a0<\/span>Subject area\u00a0<\/span>under various conditions.\u00a0<\/span>In the Swiss\u00a0social insurance law\u00a0Domestic work is always considered as\u00a0a direct\u00a0employment.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>T<\/span>herefore,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>t<\/span>here are\u00a0<\/span>no self-employed cleaning\u00a0<\/span>persons in Switzerland<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What would be the theoretical effects on wages and social security contributions?<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Whether the domestic help is\u00a0<\/span><\/span>correctly<\/span><\/span>\u00a0registered as an employee or self-employed would\u00a0<\/span><\/span>not necessarily have any effect on the wage<\/span><\/span>\u00a0(the deductions are the same)<\/span><\/span>. Self-employment would, however, require that the “cleaner” has her own car and certainly always takes her own cleaning agents and aids (vacuum cleaner, broom, iron etc.) with her (analogous to a cleaning company). She also has several clients. In the case of a self-employed cleaner, the cleaner would charge the total costs.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
